  56. I went around in circles trying to mount a SyQuest 2000 on OS 2.1 and OS 2.04 
  57. (using an older version of CrossDos that came with one of the mags from the 
  58. UK.)  Nothing worked.  I finally brokes down and ordered CrossDos 6.0 (no 
  59. CrossPC) for about $50.  It was worth the money easily.  Very easy - no 
  60. brainer install.  I have no idea what my new mountlist looks like 
  61. because the install routine did its job wonderfully.  If time is money and you 
  62. are making slow progress I'd recommend the purchase.  I should have done it 
  63. earlier.  OTOH if you have a bunch of machines and they all have 3.1 then it 
  64. may be worth the time.  Prices on  multiple software copies add up fast.

  66. One weird thing tho.  The Amiga now reads the PC formatted SyQuest's directory 
  67. VERY fast compared to an Amiga directory.  I didn't clock it or anything, but 
  68. the apparent speed difference is very different for the same hardware.
