- I went around in circles trying to mount a SyQuest 2000 on OS 2.1 and OS 2.04
- (using an older version of CrossDos that came with one of the mags from the
- UK.) Nothing worked. I finally brokes down and ordered CrossDos 6.0 (no
- CrossPC) for about $50. It was worth the money easily. Very easy - no
- brainer install. I have no idea what my new mountlist looks like
- because the install routine did its job wonderfully. If time is money and you
- are making slow progress I'd recommend the purchase. I should have done it
- earlier. OTOH if you have a bunch of machines and they all have 3.1 then it
- may be worth the time. Prices on multiple software copies add up fast.
-
- One weird thing tho. The Amiga now reads the PC formatted SyQuest's directory
- VERY fast compared to an Amiga directory. I didn't clock it or anything, but
- the apparent speed difference is very different for the same hardware.
